Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.95% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.3490 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 1.52% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.8690 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.79% or 0.120 points to 15.220 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 1.17% or 0.0021 points to trade at 0.1779 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.13% or 0.0260 points to end at 2.2830 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 0.94% or 0.0390 points to 4.1250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.45% or 0.25 to $55.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.25 to trade at $1288.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.0627, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8486.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 100.36.
