Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS), which rose 1.75% or 0.0670 points to trade at 3.8960 at the close. Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA) added 1.18% or 0.01 points to end at 0.86 and EDP (LISBON:EDP) was up 0.49% or 0.0175 points to 3.5735 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which lost 3.26% or 0.0980 points to trade at 2.9050 in late trade. Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) declined 2.53% or 0.0002 points to end at 0.0077 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP) shed 1.21% or 0.0011 points to 0.0900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 38 to 28 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.85% or 0.56 to $66.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.30% or 0.18 to hit $60.36 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1227.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.83% to 1.1355, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.7242.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 93.97.
