Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA), which rose 2.70% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.14 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 0.71% or 0.03 points to end at 3.67 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.56% or 0.02 points to 3.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 2.88% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.43 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 2.28% or 0.40 points to end at 16.93 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) shed 2.23% or 0.01 points to 0.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.80% or 2.73 to $69.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.35% or 2.99 to hit $65.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 7.20 to trade at $2,539.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.64.
