Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 1.04% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) added 0.98% or 0.01 points to end at 0.93 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 0.50% or 0.08 points to 16.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS), which lost 4.36% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.40 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) declined 3.42% or 0.29 points to end at 8.20 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) shed 1.89% or 0.07 points to 3.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.33% or 1.00 to $76.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.51% or 1.08 to hit $72.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.95 to trade at $2,751.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.40.
