Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 5.13% or 0.4200 points to trade at 8.6100 at the close. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) added 1.02% or 0.100 points to end at 9.950 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.12% or 0.0040 points to 3.3300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.41% or 0.0072 points to trade at 0.1560 in late trade. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 2.47% or 0.0220 points to end at 0.8675 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 2.20% or 0.0054 points to 0.2399.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.45% or 1.25 to $85.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.17% or 1.66 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1509, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 95.44.
