Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.25% or 0.0160 points to trade at 1.2910 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.65% or 0.0350 points to end at 5.4550 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.20% or 0.0350 points to 17.3800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 2.72% or 0.1350 points to trade at 4.8200 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.58% or 0.2500 points to end at 15.6200 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.52% or 0.0050 points to 0.3245.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.10% or 0.76 to $68.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.75% or 1.15 to hit $64.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.30 to trade at $1338.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.2405, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 89.02.
