Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.37% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 0.49% or 0.055 points to trade at 11.210 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.34% or 0.0550 points to end at 16.4550 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 0.19% or 0.0070 points to 3.6570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 1.69% or 0.235 points to trade at 13.680 in late trade. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.55% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.9550 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.97% or 0.1550 points to 15.7900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.84% or 0.97 to $51.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.83% or 0.89 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.96 to trade at $1295.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1819, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.9155.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 92.99.
