Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 3.47% or 0.1060 points to trade at 3.1580 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 1.22% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.9940 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.79% or 0.1250 points to 15.9150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.07% or 0.0058 points to trade at 0.2740 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.27% or 0.0035 points to end at 0.2730 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 0.95% or 0.0290 points to 3.0320.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.31% or 0.23 to $73.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $68.06 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.80 to trade at $1313.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1984, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.30.
