Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 4.69% or 0.2300 points to trade at 5.1300 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.58% or 0.3900 points to end at 15.4850 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 2.11% or 0.0660 points to 3.1900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.66% or 0.0076 points to trade at 0.2782 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.43% or 0.0900 points to end at 3.6100 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.77% or 0.0210 points to 1.1650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 1.55% or 1.01 to $66.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.76% or 1.08 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.90 to trade at $1313.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.2285, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 90.22.
