Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 2.03% or 0.0580 points to trade at 2.9100 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.24% or 0.150 points to end at 12.200 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.87% or 0.1500 points to 17.4550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.35% or 0.0115 points to trade at 0.2530 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.66% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2910 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.31% or 0.0160 points to 1.2010.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.50% or 0.35 to $70.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.70% or 0.45 to hit $64.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 7.00 to trade at $1341.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.2281, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 90.10.
