Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.90% or 0.0081 points to trade at 0.1735 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 4.84% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.3900 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.95% or 0.0150 points to 0.7850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 2.01% or 0.300 points to trade at 14.600 in late trade. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 1.17% or 0.005 points to end at 0.423 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 0.94% or 0.0340 points to 3.5660.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 12 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $50.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.37% or 0.18 to hit $47.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1246.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0781, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8613.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 99.57.
