Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE), which rose 1.28% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.38 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 1.22% or 0.06 points to end at 4.81 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 1.13% or 0.08 points to 7.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 1.31% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.45 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 0.50% or 0.07 points to end at 14.00 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) shed 0.05% or 0.01 points to 19.08.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.36% or 1.10 to $79.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.56% or 1.22 to hit $76.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.61% or 40.15 to trade at $2,532.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.54.
