Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.76% or 0.250 points to trade at 14.455 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 1.63% or 0.0037 points to end at 0.2300 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.37% or 0.0440 points to 3.2460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 1.08% or 0.0400 points to trade at 3.6510 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.79% or 0.090 points to end at 11.355 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 0.47% or 0.0110 points to 2.3500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 17 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.65% or 0.87 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.58% or 1.25 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.93 to trade at $1292.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1806, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.9228.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.17.
