Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 2.84% or 0.3600 points to trade at 13.0150 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.24% or 0.150 points to end at 12.250 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.02% or 0.0300 points to 2.9580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 1.24% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.140 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 0.99% or 0.0300 points to end at 3.0000 and F.Rama (LS:RAMA) shed 0.98% or 0.100 points to 10.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.45% or 0.32 to $72.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $67.11 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 12.10 to trade at $1227.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 94.73.
