Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.54% or 0.190 points to trade at 12.540 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.43% or 0.165 points to end at 11.705 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 0.92% or 0.1550 points to 17.0250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.73% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.4270 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 0.96% or 0.0024 points to end at 0.2475 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.60% or 0.0310 points to 5.1180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 18 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.70% or 1.01 to $60.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.22% or 1.17 to hit $53.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.43 to trade at $1272.03 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1587, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 94.91.
