Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.02% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.07% or 0.0051 points to trade at 0.2513 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.51% or 0.2300 points to end at 15.4250 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 0.63% or 0.0030 points to 0.4790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.89% or 0.0630 points to trade at 3.2670 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.70% or 0.2950 points to end at 17.0100 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.21% or 0.0640 points to 5.2460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.67% or 0.94 to $57.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.62% or 0.82 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.76 to trade at $1303.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1844, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8902.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 92.81.
