Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.36% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 3.07% or 7.10 points to trade at 238.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 1.69% or 0.90 points to end at 54.30 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 0.89% or 0.030 points to 3.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which lost 3.17% or 0.37 points to trade at 11.31 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 2.62% or 10.05 points to end at 373.50 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) shed 2.30% or 0.82 points to 34.84.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 278 to 271 and 178 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.16% or 0.08 to $50.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $53.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1245.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.66% to 4.2393, while USD/PLN rose 0.49% to 3.9649.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 100.21.
