Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Developers and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which rose 3.52% or 2.10 points to trade at 61.80 at the close. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 3.48% or 1.40 points to end at 41.60 and mBank (WA:MBK) was up 2.03% or 7.50 points to 377.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which lost 1.51% or 1.03 points to trade at 67.17 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 1.45% or 0.15 points to end at 10.20 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) shed 1.15% or 1.58 points to 136.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 273 to 271 and 178 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.92% or 1.02 to $51.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.51% or 0.84 to hit $54.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.15 to trade at $1235.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.2959, while USD/PLN rose 0.53% to 4.0175.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.30.
