Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 2.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which rose 1.82% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.85 at the close. CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) added 0.08% or 0.15 points to end at 189.45 and Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) was down 0.07% or 0.30 points to 402.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included mBank (WA:MBK), which lost 6.16% or 35.00 points to trade at 532.80 in late trade. BUDIMEX SA (WA:BDXP) declined 6.10% or 28.60 points to end at 440.40 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) shed 4.64% or 1.11 points to 22.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 390 to 167 and 81 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.15% or 1.52 to $69.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.49% or 1.10 to hit $72.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 14.59 to trade at $2,655.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.28% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.36% to 4.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 106.61.
