Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 1.27% or 0.14 points to trade at 11.19 at the close. Santander Bank Polska SA (WA:SPL1) added 0.78% or 3.60 points to end at 464.60 and CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) was up 0.53% or 0.85 points to 161.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which lost 3.45% or 0.72 points to trade at 20.12 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 3.03% or 0.83 points to end at 26.55 and Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) shed 2.89% or 70.00 points to 2,350.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 309 to 192 and 100 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.53% or 1.09 to $72.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.40% or 1.05 to hit $76.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.60 to trade at $2,746.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.12% to 4.36, while USD/PLN fell 0.25% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.49.
