Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were OrangePL (WA:OPL), which rose 3.36% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.61 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 3.22% or 0.72 points to end at 23.06 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 2.68% or 6.00 points to 230.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which lost 3.35% or 2.10 points to trade at 60.65 in late trade. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) declined 3.24% or 6.50 points to end at 194.30 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) shed 2.55% or 0.17 points to 6.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 210 to 188 and 198 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $74.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.17% or 0.14 to hit $84.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1204.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.06% to 4.3098, while USD/PLN rose 0.03% to 3.7456.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 95.41.
