Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which rose 4.91% or 3.90 points to trade at 83.40 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) added 4.50% or 0.48 points to end at 11.14 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 4.49% or 4.01 points to 93.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 5.82% or 11.00 points to trade at 178.00 in late trade. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 4.98% or 2.80 points to end at 53.40 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) shed 3.81% or 0.75 points to 18.92.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 333 to 230 and 70 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.15% or 2.49 to $57.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.04% or 2.83 to hit $67.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1203.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.35% to 4.2896, while USD/PLN fell 0.94% to 3.8010.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 96.97.
