Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Oil & Gas and Food sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 2.60% or 2.44 points to trade at 96.44 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) added 0.49% or 0.04 points to end at 8.23 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 0.44% or 0.10 points to 22.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which lost 6.18% or 3.70 points to trade at 56.20 in late trade. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 4.83% or 400.00 points to end at 7875.00 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) shed 4.81% or 0.99 points to 19.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 3 and 1 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.09% or 0.66 to $60.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.99% or 0.70 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.52% or 18.60 to trade at $1207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.25% to 4.2934, while USD/PLN rose 0.64% to 3.7928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.82.
