Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Media and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 3.48% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.80 at the close. mBank (WA:MBK) added 1.89% or 12.40 points to end at 669.20 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) was up 0.43% or 0.65 points to 150.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Text SA (WA:TXTP), which lost 3.26% or 2.40 points to trade at 71.20 in late trade. Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) declined 2.26% or 18.00 points to end at 777.00 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) shed 1.95% or 0.14 points to 7.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 252 to 238 and 114 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.93% or 0.65 to $69.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.92% or 0.68 to hit $73.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.20 to trade at $2,597.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.06% to 4.27, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.05% to 3.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 100.63.
