Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which rose 2.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.24 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 2.44% or 3.20 points to end at 134.60 and Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) was up 1.92% or 50.00 points to 2,650.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB), which lost 8.50% or 5.80 points to trade at 62.40 in late trade. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 1.79% or 0.32 points to end at 17.55 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) shed 1.65% or 250.00 points to 14,870.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 313 to 196 and 107 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.65% or 0.46 to $69.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.42 to hit $73.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.40 to trade at $2,525.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.03% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.38% to 3.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 101.30.
