Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 5.28% or 14.30 points to trade at 285.30 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 2.36% or 1.10 points to end at 47.80 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 1.60% or 1.35 points to 85.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OrangePL (WA:OPL), which lost 7.41% or 0.45 points to trade at 5.62 in late trade. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 2.28% or 0.32 points to end at 13.73 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) shed 2.05% or 0.100 points to 4.780.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 300 to 198 and 169 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.40% or 0.19 to $47.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.70% or 0.37 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 9.30 to trade at $1339.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.28% to 4.2412, while USD/PLN fell 0.81% to 3.5583.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 92.45.
