Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Construction and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 4.67% or 2.71 points to trade at 60.70 at the close. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) added 4.37% or 0.200 points to end at 4.780 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was up 3.77% or 0.36 points to 9.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which lost 2.64% or 0.37 points to trade at 13.64 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 2.24% or 0.35 points to end at 15.25 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) shed 1.73% or 0.12 points to 6.83.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 270 to 231 and 166 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.70% or 1.24 to $47.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.63% or 1.84 to hit $52.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.12 to trade at $1323.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.04% to 4.2515, while USD/PLN fell 0.10% to 3.5755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 92.76.
