Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which rose 4.09% or 2.71 points to trade at 68.90 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 3.13% or 0.35 points to end at 11.55 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was up 2.29% or 4.15 points to 185.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which lost 2.31% or 1.67 points to trade at 70.51 in late trade. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 1.52% or 0.48 points to end at 31.01 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) shed 1.50% or 1.01 points to 66.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 275 to 248 and 169 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.51% or 0.26 to $50.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $53.76 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.79 to trade at $1260.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.1999, while USD/PLN fell 0.13% to 3.7374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.85.
