Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 3.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 5.66% or 7.00 points to trade at 130.60 at the close. Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 5.06% or 125.00 points to end at 2,595.00 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 4.87% or 3.00 points to 64.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which lost 0.54% or 0.10 points to trade at 18.28 in late trade. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 0.36% or 0.30 points to end at 83.20 and Text SA (WA:TXTP) gained 0.86% or 0.70 points to 81.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 295 to 205 and 105 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.26% or 1.74 to $78.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.80% or 1.43 to hit $81.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 22.20 to trade at $2,495.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.32% to 4.30, while USD/PLN fell 0.42% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.99.
