Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 2.02% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 4.51% or 1.20 points to trade at 27.80 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) added 4.31% or 4.99 points to end at 120.66 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 4.09% or 10.40 points to 264.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which lost 2.49% or 2.60 points to trade at 101.85 in late trade. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 1.85% or 1.10 points to end at 58.40 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) shed 0.73% or 0.07 points to 9.48.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 262 to 258 and 166 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.34% or 1.60 to $46.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.23% or 0.64 to hit $51.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 13.86 to trade at $1311.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.19% to 4.2470, while USD/PLN fell 0.64% to 3.5459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.17.
