Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which rose 4.25% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.62 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 2.64% or 0.60 points to end at 23.34 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 2.49% or 1.12 points to 46.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which lost 2.12% or 1.95 points to trade at 90.00 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 1.44% or 0.12 points to end at 8.24 and mBank (WA:MBK) shed 1.24% or 5.20 points to 415.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 223 to 203 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.77% or 0.57 to $74.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.02% or 0.86 to hit $84.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1192.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.3072, while USD/PLN fell 0.14% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.45.
