Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which rose 5.07% or 9.30 points to trade at 192.90 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 4.58% or 8.30 points to end at 189.50 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 2.27% or 1.89 points to 85.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 2.60% or 5.60 points to trade at 210.00 in late trade. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 1.77% or 0.56 points to end at 31.04 and mBank (WA:MBK) shed 0.65% or 2.60 points to 399.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 231 to 198 and 188 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.19% or 0.82 to $69.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.17% or 0.91 to hit $78.96 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1203.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.21% to 4.2896, while USD/PLN fell 0.23% to 3.6711.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.10.
