Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 7.46% or 2.52 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 2.30% or 2.77 points to end at 123.45 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 2.18% or 2.03 points to 95.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which lost 2.30% or 1.60 points to trade at 68.00 in late trade. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 1.82% or 0.080 points to end at 4.310 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) shed 1.66% or 1.44 points to 85.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 276 to 230 and 170 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.65% or 0.31 to $47.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.48% or 0.25 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.76 to trade at $1292.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.13% to 4.2738, while USD/PLN rose 0.27% to 3.6319.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.36.
