Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Developers and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Text SA (WA:TXTP), which rose 4.58% or 3.80 points to trade at 86.80 at the close. Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 4.07% or 105.00 points to end at 2,685.00 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was up 2.85% or 470.00 points to 16,980.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which lost 1.87% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.93 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 1.80% or 0.56 points to end at 30.53 and Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) shed 1.18% or 4.70 points to 392.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 256 to 244 and 106 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $83.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.15% or 0.13 to hit $87.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.90 to trade at $2,367.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.29% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.55% to 3.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 104.79.
