Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 5.38% or 2.96 points to trade at 58.00 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 4.79% or 1.17 points to end at 25.62 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 3.33% or 3.21 points to 99.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which lost 4.40% or 4.75 points to trade at 103.28 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.75% or 2.64 points to end at 93.28 and mBank (WA:MBK) shed 2.19% or 10.50 points to 469.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 282 to 233 and 174 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.28% or 0.16 to $57.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.61% or 0.38 to hit $62.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.90% or 11.50 to trade at $1266.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.04% to 4.2048, while USD/PLN rose 0.35% to 3.5575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 93.32.
