Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 1.96% or 4.80 points to trade at 249.80 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 1.92% or 0.500 points to end at 26.500 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 0.97% or 1.000 points to 104.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which lost 20.00% or 1.200 points to trade at 4.800 in late trade. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 3.04% or 0.160 points to end at 5.100 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) shed 2.36% or 1.050 points to 43.450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 137 to 63 and 54 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.74 to $1309.76 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.01 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.65% or 0.38 to trade at $58.05 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.24% to 7.6776, while USD/PHP rose 0.40% to 50.915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 92.66.
