Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 0.96% or 0.090 points to trade at 9.500 at the close. BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 0.55% or 0.70 points to end at 127.80 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was up 0.18% or 2.00 points to 1130.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which lost 3.66% or 5.60 points to trade at 147.30 in late trade. PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) declined 2.47% or 43.00 points to end at 1700.00 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) shed 2.44% or 50.00 points to 2000.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 84 and 51 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.15% or 15.18 to $1330.48 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.69% or 0.32 to hit $46.89 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.14 to trade at $51.56 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.24% to 7.7438, while USD/PHP fell 0.02% to 51.075.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 91.63.
