Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Property and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which rose 4.43% or 0.240 points to trade at 5.660 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 4.18% or 1.90 points to end at 47.40 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) was up 2.55% or 0.260 points to 10.460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which lost 4.11% or 0.740 points to trade at 17.260 in late trade. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) declined 3.25% or 0.220 points to end at 6.550 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) shed 3.02% or 0.800 points to 25.700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 141 to 70 and 38 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.99 to $1284.81 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $57.48 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.45% to 7.6402, while USD/PHP fell 0.13% to 50.970.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 93.26.
