Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Property and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 4.57% or 1.000 points to trade at 22.900 at the close. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) added 4.30% or 0.620 points to end at 15.040 and Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) was up 3.40% or 0.220 points to 6.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which lost 4.70% or 3.450 points to trade at 70.000 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 3.33% or 8.40 points to end at 243.60 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) shed 2.85% or 3.90 points to 133.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 84 and 52 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.05% or 0.65 to $1295.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $57.77 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.40% or 0.25 to trade at $62.99 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.08% to 7.6134, while USD/PHP fell 0.22% to 50.230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 93.03.
