Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 10.49% or 0.850 points to trade at 8.990 at the close. Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) added 8.05% or 9.5000 points to end at 127.5000 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) was up 6.25% or 0.740 points to 12.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which lost 1.70% or 0.160 points to trade at 9.280 in late trade. Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) declined 1.30% or 18.000 points to end at 1370.000 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) shed 1.26% or 0.060 points to 4.680.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 120 to 74 and 13 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.73% or 8.10 to $1112.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $44.91 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.06 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 1.45% to 7.2707, while USD/PHP rose 0.41% to 46.000.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.10.
