Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Property and Mining & Oil sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 3.17% or 3.200 points to trade at 104.200 at the close. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) added 1.46% or 12.50 points to end at 867.50 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was up 1.25% or 0.500 points to 40.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which lost 3.35% or 0.520 points to trade at 15.020 in late trade. Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) declined 1.45% or 0.120 points to end at 8.130 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) shed 1.44% or 0.140 points to 9.600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 85 and 51 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.20% or 2.37 to $1210.83 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.54% or 0.24 to hit $44.16 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.29 to trade at $46.59 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.26% to 7.4690, while USD/PHP rose 0.18% to 50.780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.86.
