Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 3.30% or 4.70 points to trade at 147.00 at the close. JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 2.64% or 1.850 points to end at 71.900 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 1.81% or 0.320 points to 18.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 0.59% or 1.00 points to trade at 169.00 in late trade. Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) declined 0.44% or 0.060 points to end at 13.540 and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) shed 0.41% or 0.300 points to 73.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 81 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.76% or 9.76 to $1280.64 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $47.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $50.77 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.15% to 7.6985, while USD/PHP rose 0.68% to 51.405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.56.
