Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Property and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 7.54% or 21.40 points to trade at 305.40 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) added 3.16% or 0.150 points to end at 4.900 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 2.87% or 7.00 points to 251.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which lost 5.01% or 3.800 points to trade at 72.050 in late trade. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) declined 3.57% or 3.28 points to end at 88.50 and Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) shed 3.53% or 0.270 points to 7.370.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 137 to 75 and 42 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.06% or 0.80 to $1318.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $61.23 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $65.12 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.41% to 8.2130, while USD/PHP fell 0.34% to 51.960.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 90.00.
