Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 3.05% or 2.100 points to trade at 71.000 at the close. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) added 2.57% or 0.480 points to end at 19.180 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 1.64% or 4.00 points to 247.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 2.70% or 1.00 points to trade at 36.00 in late trade. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 1.78% or 32.00 points to end at 1766.00 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) shed 0.88% or 9.00 points to 1009.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 101 and 41 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.70 to $1268.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $58.13 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $64.58 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.10% to 7.6260, while USD/PHP rose 0.25% to 50.240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 92.93.
