Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Property and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which rose 3.22% or 2.400 points to trade at 76.950 at the close. Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 1.68% or 0.70 points to end at 42.40 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was up 1.49% or 30.00 points to 2050.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 7.89% or 3.30 points to trade at 38.50 in late trade. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 2.57% or 0.150 points to end at 5.690 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) shed 2.18% or 0.550 points to 24.650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 89 and 37 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.29 to $1283.99 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $63.55 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.12% to 7.7224, while USD/PHP rose 0.05% to 51.275.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.73.
