Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 3.87% or 9.40 points to trade at 252.40 at the close. Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 3.03% or 1.00 points to end at 34.00 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was up 1.79% or 0.700 points to 39.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which lost 5.15% or 120.00 points to trade at 2210.00 in late trade. Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) declined 3.45% or 5.00 points to end at 139.80 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) shed 3.14% or 0.80 points to 24.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 77 and 53 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.35% or 4.20 to $1192.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.54% or 0.40 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.64 to trade at $84.55 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.71% to 7.8344, while USD/PHP rose 0.20% to 54.243.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.59.
