Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.62% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 1.15% or 1.500 points to end at 132.000 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was up 0.61% or 0.010 points to 1.660 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 15.00% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.085 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 13.71% or 0.024 points to end at 0.151 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 10.00% or 0.050 points to 0.450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 4 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $45.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $50.21 a barrel, while the December Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1087.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.19% to 3.1935, while EUR/PEN fell 0.28% to 3.4988.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 98.05.
