Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 6.11% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.390 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 3.79% or 0.250 points to end at 6.850 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 2.00% or 0.008 points to 0.408 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC), which lost 2.09% or 0.55 points to trade at 25.80 in late trade. Alicorp (LM:ALI) declined 1.59% or 0.120 points to end at 7.440 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 1.54% or 0.020 points to 1.280.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.65% or 0.28 to $42.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $44.99 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.15 to trade at $1346.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3055, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6923.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 96.06.
