Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 6.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.11 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 2.94% or 0.020 points to end at 0.700 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 2.33% or 0.020 points to 0.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 5.66% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.05 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 3.30% or 0.410 points to end at 12.010 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 3.29% or 0.080 points to 2.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 9 and 17 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.70% or 0.36 to $51.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $54.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.39 to trade at $1251.01 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2822, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 97.28.
