Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 5.15% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.143 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 1.89% or 0.030 points to end at 1.620 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 1.67% or 0.010 points to 0.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 1.70% or 0.270 points to trade at 15.600 in late trade. Edelnor (LM:EDN) declined 1.59% or 0.100 points to end at 6.200 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 0.85% or 1.350 points to 157.500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 8 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.38% or 0.63 to $46.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.31% or 0.15 to hit $48.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.31% or 4.20 to trade at $1351.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3060, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7313.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.75.
